Miniature Horses Program

Miniature Horse Program

HALTER, Inc. raises and trains horses for special needs children and adults to use in miniature horse shows.   People with learning disabilities, physical challenges  or any special need are eligible to participate.  The participants come to the HALTER facility to work with the horses and prepare for the shows. Family members are also eligible to participate in training and show activities.

Participation in this program allows the children to exercise to the extent they are able and feel a sense of accomplishment by working with a specific animal on a regular basis.  HALTER does not charge a fee to these families to participate in this program, but relies on the generosity of sponsors and friends to help underwrite the program expenses.
