At Risk Teens

At Risk Teens

HALTER believes in America’s youth and is offering numerous young people assistance and self-confidence by using at risk teenagers to help with the training and care of the horses.  It is the belief of the HALTER directors that working with animals can be beneficial to students struggling to find a direction for their lives, teaching them responsibility and allowing them to bond with the animals.

Youth who have received court appointed community service hours through  Judge Yeoman's court in Harris County  have logged several thousand hours at the HALTER facility.

Other teens are welcome to contribute community service by helping out at the HALTER facility whether court assigned or for personal fulfillment.

HALTER will continue to pursue additional avenues to assist teens in developing into the productive adults they can become.
