Our Own Water Well!
HALTER now has it's own water well. For the past two years our water came from a neighbor. Now we have our own well. Thanks to generosity from an anonymous donor, the well was installed last week. The neighbors well was going to be down for a while and we would have had to truck all of the water to the horses. Thanks to everyone.

The 2004 Show season is here. If you are interested in joining the HALTER Show Team please let us know. Registration deadline for the show team is fast approaching. The first show is at the end of April.
The fall horse show was a great success. Thanks to the weather and the hard work by all our volunteers a great time was had by all. The Spring Show, scheduled for May, 15 has been rescheduled due to rain. Check the Show Team link for more information.
All of our "big horse" babies this year were girls. The two miniature horse babies we had are already in new homes. We have one more miniature baby which should arrive at the end of the month.
Girl Scout Troup 2281 had a great time working on their service unit project at Halter. They combined their community service activity with their end of school party. What service did they provide? The girls along with help from their parents, measured, wormed and took pictures of every horse on the property. The girls got some first hand knowledge that not everything about horses is all glamour. Thanks Troop 2281. Come out and help us anytime.
Northbrook Middle School used the HALTER facility for National Youth Service Day. Approximately 50 students and adults from the school came out to the land and painted the barns, cleared brush and help with general cleanup. A big thank-you to everyone who choose HALTER and made the work day possible.
